Hi everyone! So today we’re going to look at our top baking gifts that any baker would love to receive. I’m sure that you all know at least one avid baker in your life, and you want to find them that perfect baking gift. The trouble is, what do you get a baker? Surely they must have everything they need already? Nah, let us help you out, here are our Top 15 Baking Gifts for the baker in your life.

1
Recipe Box£16.99

If I had neater handwriting, or maybe a printer that worked then I would love to have one of these for my own recipes.  But I know a fair few people who love their little recipe boxes. On top of that, it’s nice to hand these down to your kids as time goes on.  It helps them to learn about the recipes that you liked or maybe even the ones your parents liked!

I know that I’ve got a tonne of baking recipes, I’ve definitely got my favourites.  Some of them are stored on bits of paper that float around the house. Maybe I SHOULD invest in one of these beautiful boxes.  Either way, they make for nice baking gift ideas!

2
Kitchen Chalkboard£13.95

Again this doesn’t just apply to baking gift ideas.  If you know someone who enjoys their time in the kitchen, then they may love something like this.  I know I definitely would. It can be used for “to do” lists, as well as shopping lists and all sorts!  I would most definitely use it to leave notes for my husband on!

I like this particular chalk board too because it’s not too much.  It’s simple, and gets the job done. It’s also a pretty decent price, you wouldn’t have to spend loads but the quality is there.

Foldable Cook Book Stand£17.04

So as a an avid baker myself, I’d been wanting one of these for the longest time.  But it was a luxury that I just couldn’t afford on myself. As such I had a lot of tins to hold down my cookbooks which have now left marks on the pages.  That being said, if your looking for baking gift ideas, or maybe cooking gift ideas then this would be a great one.

They are oh so handy, and this one in particular looks really nice.  It would suit any kitchen really, you can’t go wrong with it!

5
Biscuit and Icing Set£15.99

I’m recommending this particular icing and biscuit kit because I have one which I was gifted.  It’s probably one of my favourite baker gift ideas. And mostly because I was gifted this roughly 5 years ago, and I’m still using it without a problem!  It’s funny too because I was told this wasn’t my main gift, it was just supposed to be a filler present. I love it so much though, and I really think it makes a great gift idea for bakers.

As we’ve said in many previous posts, we want to encourage users to cut down on plastic.  When you think of icing, we think of icing bags, which are usually plastic and disposable.  So the great thing about this is you’re not wasting piping bags for the purpose of icing. It’s easily washable, and reusable.  You’ve got a number of different nozzles too, so there’s plenty of stuff you can do with this.

7
Star Baker Wooden Spoon£5.99

This is really cute for baking gift ideas.  If you know someone that loves baking, then they’re bound to love The Great British Bake Off!  Obviously it’s a bit different now, and arguably not as good as when it was on the BBC. BUT I still like it, I love watching the people on it create beautiful pieces of art (let’s face it, most of the bakes are beautiful enough to be art!)

And if you know someone who enjoys the show, they’ll love this “Star Baker” wooden spoon.  You can vote your loved one star baker of their own kitchen 😀

8
Cake Stand With Dome£31.99

If you know an avid baker who doesn’t have one of these, I’m sure that they definitely do want one.  What baker doesn’t want to display their beautiful, tasty bakes? Especially on a cake stand as pretty as this!  And to top it off, it comes with a lovely dome to cover up whatever bake they’ve made. I have a cake stand, but it didn’t come with a dome.  Sadly this meant when it came to storage, cling film would just ruin any icing work I’d done.

So a cake stand with a dome comes in super handy, and it means you can display delicious treats. Yay! 😀

9
Great British Bake Off Recipes£16.29

This is another one of those baking gift ideas for a lover of The Great British Bake Off.  There are actually a few books (which I have) and out of them I would recommend this one. It’s quite a solid book with tonnes of sweet AND savoury recipes.  My favourite probably being some of the bread recipes. Bread is so therapeutic to make, kneading the dough is especially fun 😀

10
Marble Rolling Pin£17.99

Now I know what you’re probably thinking, “if someone loves baking, won’t they already have a rolling pin?”  And the answer is probably yes, they likely do have a normal wooden rolling pin. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve an upgrade!  Especially if they like to bake with pastry.

The really great thing about this particular rolling pin is that because it’s marble, it keeps everything cool.  This is especially handy for those working with buttery pastry. The last thing that a baker wants is for the butter to melt whilst they’re handling their dough.  Something that CAN happen especially in the heat we’ve been having.

Because of the smooth surface of the marble, it would also be a lot more difficult for pastry and dough to get stuck to it.  So no more having to fill in holes and creating a mess 😀

11
Fantasy Cake Recipes£11.11

Now if you know a baker who likes to bake daring showstoppers, then this will definitely be for them!  These fantasy cakes are way out of my league for sure, but it doesn’t mean they at least shouldn’t be attempted 😀  And the best part is that there are pictures! I get really annoyed with cookbooks that don’t show you a picture of what the finished outcome should be.  Otherwise how are you supposed to know you did it right?! Maybe it’s just me, but because of that I’m really specific with my recipe books.

Back to this book though, it would be really good for a baker looking to grow their techniques or expand on what they already know 🙂   Recipe books would make great baker gift ideas for an avid baker!

12
Silicone Bakeware Set£12.98

Silicone Bakeware Set Graphic Image Credit: Amazon

Now I’m actually not a big fan of silicone but again that’s probably because I’m something wrong with my baking.  That being said, I still think these would make great baking gift ideas for someone. If you know someone that loves their silicon items, then this would be a really nice treat for them.  To be fair, silicone is easy to clean as well as store.  Baking with them just takes a bit of practice.

These are even better because of the cupcake silicone moulds, it means no more wasted cupcake cases!  That would make these the least wasteful of our baker gift ideas.

13
Ms Cupcake: The Naughtiest Vegan Cakes In Town£12.37

I wanted to add in a little something especially for vegans who might like to bake.  One of the things that put me off going vegan was not being able to bake! Now I realise that was silly, because I can bake just as beautiful a cake by tweaking some of the ingredients 🙂  This cookbook has really helped with that.

And the best part about this cookbook is it’s tailored to both those in the UK and America.  So you don’t have to worry about confusing ingredients. There’s a little chart showing the alternatives for the UK and US produce.  On top of that, there are little tips on where you could buy these bits from. Usually you can get them from your local supermarket which is brilliant!

Custom Cookbook£6.25

I really love this idea because who amongst us hasn’t pictured themselves as the host of their own cooking show?  What’s the closest we can get to this fantasy you ask? Well it’s this custom cookbook of course! It’s a great little book for writing all your notes and recipes on all the bakes you’ve created or amended.  As far as baking gifts go, this is probably one of my favourites. Especially if YOU had a favourite recipe that you would want to share with your loved one. You can add it in to start it off 😀

Or you know, if you’re an adult like me and you’re giving this to a friend you could just write something embarrassing in it. It’s totally up to you 😉  These would make lovely baker gift ideas

Cake Serving Stand£27.99

And last but not least for our baker gift ideas list, here’s something that’s really not necessary but something you would want as a baker.  Something pretty to serve your delicious bakes on. This is more for if you’re having a dinner party and you’re really looking to impress your guests.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t think my chipped plates would do it…

So for baking gift ideas, I ask you to consider this one.  It’s a luxurious little thing, that would make your cakes and bakes look STUNNING!

Honourable Mentions

The following baking gifts didn't make it into our Top 15 picks, but we think they're still worth a mention...

Hand Mixer£17.99

This is another of those gifts where you’re probably thinking a baker would already have it.  So really, this one requires a little bit of research beforehand! I used to a bake a lot a few years ago, but I never had a mixer of any kind.  Most of my bakes required simply a spoon, a bowl and ingredients. But then, out of the blue I decided I was too lazy and got myself a hand mixer.  It was probably one of the best things I bought for myself as a baker.

It might sound weird for baker gift ideas, but trust me they may just thank you for this one!  I chose this one in particular because of the brand. You can’t really go wrong with Russell Hobbs (hope I haven’t jinxed it…)

Baking SubscriptionFrom £25

Baking Subscription Graphic Image Credit: Pexels

I had no idea that this existed but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.  There are just so many different subscription services out there these days. I’ve found Japanese snack boxes, book subscriptions, Italian food boxes, so why not a baking one?  I love this idea because I usually find that I always bake the same thing. It’s rare that I’ll go out of my comfort zone (because I want everything I make to be perfect). So this is really cool, because it allows you to try different things whilst providing you with the ingredients.

At that point, you don’t really have an excuse not to do it! 😀  And the best part is, you can do this as a one off if you like. So if you’re looking to buy something a different baking gift, then this will probably do.  Or if you’re able to, you could try doing a 3 month subscription for them. For baking gift ideas, this would be a really special one!

Bread Maker£57.86

So baking gift ideas don’t always have to be baking trays or utensils used by a baker.  They could be something help aid a baker who maybe has a love for their craft but no time!  That’s why I wanted to recommend this. Purely because as much as I love to make bread, sometimes there’s just too little time.  I’m sure a few of you will relate to this. That why a bread maker can come in really handy, because you can just add in the ingredients, push a button and BOOM!  You’ve got that lovely fresh baked bread smell running through your house.

It’s a little on the pricey side, but it really does make the difference for a lover of baking who just doesn’t have the time.

Kitchen Scales£21.79

Right, this is another of those baker gift ideas that require a little research on your giftee.  You’d need to find out if they already have some digital scales, or if they maybe have a mechanical one.  For years I had a mechanical one, and it was just ok. I had it because it was cheap for me to have as a student.  And then I was gifted this same one for my Birthday one year, and I still have it. It must be nearly 10 years old now, and it still works great.

I would highly recommend this for a baker who wants precision.  It makes a huge difference, and it’s even more handy because of the measuring bowl.  No more faffing around looking for something to measure in 😀

Nesting Bowls£37.77

I love these bowls, they’re so handy if you don’t have much storage space in your kitchen.  They also make really cool baking gift ideas. There are two mixing bowls (one large, one small).  It also comes with a sieve, colander and 5 measuring cups. They are all neatly packed into one little bundle which is great if you don’t like a lot of mess.

They’re also pretty stylish (at least I think so!)  If you’re not all about rainbow colours, there is a grey toned set which is ever so slightly more expensive.  But if that’s your thing, it’s totally worth it 😀

Measuring Spoons£13.99

Another lot of baking gift ideas: measuring spoons!  Once again these were something I’d never even considered getting until I was gifted some.  And they were really very handy, especially when a cookbook requires you to use cups, as opposed to using grams!  These are really simple, and quite cheap but look great quality.

You’re probably wondering why you’re normal set of spoons at home wouldn’t do?  It’s because they’re not always accurate, whereas these are.  When it comes to baking, it’s all about precision, and these are very accurate baker gift ideas.

Gingerbread Man Timer£6.78

Awww I love how cute this is!  It reminds me of The Gingerbread man in Shrek 😀  This would make a really cute baking gift for someone.  I know you could probably time this simply using your clock, but it’s a lot less accurate.  Then there’s your phone, yes, you could use a phone to time your bakes. However, sometimes I don’t pay much attention to my phone, I leave it places.

And honestly, do we really need excuses to buy something as cute as this for someone who loves baking? ;D

Baking Beans£4.99

Again, this might seem a bit weird for baking gift ideas, but bear with me!  If you know someone who likes baking pastry and pies, they might already have these.  But if they don’t, it’s undoubtedly something they would find very useful. I’ve tried baking pastry cases using rice and other beans.  Maybe it’s me doing something wrong, but baking beans are better.

These are also a little bit cheaper compared to most things on this list, so if anything it could be a filler present.  And you’re loved ones can never say you didn’t try 😉
